Pistachio Conda 66% True Hypo 50% Het Leucistic
For Sale: Western Hognose / Plains Hognose Snake (Heterodon Nascicus)
Photos don't do this little man justice, they really wash out his greens and don't pick up the orange/pink speckling on his sides well. He's gorgeous and should only get better with age. However, while he has a tendency to freeze more than his brother (see my other listing from this clutch), he's pretty defensive and prefers being held vs. being pet. He loosens up faster and easier than his brother but this whole clutch has been nothing but spicy sassmasters with thankfully robust appetites. If you're unfamiliar with either true hypo or pistachio feel free to message me and I'll happily chat your ear off about the project. He's a beautiful little guy with great potential, I just have too many males in this clutch to keep them all (don't think he doesn't tempt me!).
From an unrelated het leucistic, true hypo & pistachio (JMG) to a true hypo & pistachio superconda (Exotic Fire Hogs).
Temperament: Little 'fraidy cat who will likely improve with regular handling, but for now is huffy, puffy, and has a tendency to freeze, flatten, and hiss vs. boop.
Hatchlings will not ship until they have taken 8 - 10 meals without problems and are at minimum 8 - 10g. No babies are released until they are regularly taking consecutive unscented frozen thawed pinkies.
Payment must be made in full before I ship/deliver. Payment plans can be worked out on a case-by-case basis. Just talk to me, let's work something out!
***IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION***
I ship to (most) of the continental U.S. Mon - Wed via FedEx overnight express to the nearest shipping hub. Please note FedEx requires photo ID to pick up your animal. I do not export at this time. I can also arrange for local pickup in the Tampa Bay area.
While they are legal there now, I do not ship plains hognoses to Colorado due to the amount of work required on my end to get the required documentation to ship there. Unless you are willing to pay for the vet and my time/travel expense to get it done for you, sorry, at this time it's just not worth it for me.
I do not ship plains hognoses to Iowa without proof of a scientific or educational permit. It is illegal to own them in that state as they are listed as endangered in Iowa.
I do not ship plains hognoses to Illinois without proof of a permit. You must have a (free) permit to own them in the state of Illinois. You can select a hobbyist permit here but please note that you may not breed plains hognose snakes in the state unless you are a zoo or educational program!
I also do not ship plains hognoses to Missouri or Oklahoma without proof of permit.
