Female Conda Het Albino Pos. Het Sable
For Sale: Western Hognose / Plains Hognose Snake (Heterodon Nascicus)
This little beauty I am fairly certain is a long-tailed female (I counted 36 scales, a picture is included for reference). She has the good looks (deep burgundy coloring) of her mom, and the sweet temperament (look at that deliciously derpy face) of her dad. There might not be much going on between those eyes but she's a great cuddler with a calm disposition. She's a total sweetheart that will make a great pet, or a good crapshoot on potential sunburst maker for a breeder.
From an unrelated conda 66% het albino and sable paired to an arctic albino conda (AAA) 66% het sable.
Temperament: Very gentle and calm. She goes through periods of exploration but she doesn't do it with the frenetic energy of a frightened hatchling.
Weight as of 8/7/25 was 7.6g. I'll get her over 8g before shipping, but she's already close.
Hatchlings will not ship until they have taken 8 - 10 meals without problems and are at minimum 8 - 10g. No babies are offered for sale until they are regularly taking consecutive unscented frozen thawed pinkies.
Payment must be made in full before I ship/deliver. Payment plans can be worked out on a case-by-case basis. Just talk to me, let's work something out!

I ship to (most) of the continental U.S. Mon - Wed via FedEx overnight express to the nearest shipping hub. Please note FedEx requires photo ID to pick up your animal. I do not export at this time. I can also arrange for local pickup in the Tampa Bay area.
I do not ship plains hognoses to Colorado, as it is illegal to own them there without a license. If you have questions about the process, I suggest speaking with a local, Teresa from Hip Hogs.
I do not ship plains hognoses to Iowa without proof of a scientific or educational permit. It is illegal to own them in that state as they are listed as endangered in Iowa.
I do not ship plains hognoses to Illinois without proof of a permit. You must have a (free) permit to own them in the state of Illinois. You can select a hobbyist permit here but please note that you may not breed plains hognose snakes in the state unless you are a zoo or educational program!
